Sometimes

We're the last hope and fate
For our family to take
We're the last open saving grace
When we posses a flaw
We leave our family at a door
That they're begging us to open
Yes, we try to save
The last word, our last name
Yes, we take all that they can't feel
We get up every day
We take pills, drink the pain
Trying to make it worth the wait

These four years have been the longest
I pray sometimes for God to let it end
When the guilt sets in and there's no way I can win
I take my pain a drop at a time
Oh, yes, sometimes, we're living for all around us

We're the wine, we're the meal
The laat bread for us to deal
The last word in a family tradition
We're a break, we're a bend
We're doing all we can mend
The way time had tolled on our past
Sometimes I will beg
That God will just break these legs
Let me free, for once, for all
Then I think of my fate
Only for my family's sake
Then I choose to take it all

These four years have been the longest
I pray sometimes for God to let it end
When the guilt sets in and there's no way I can win
I take my pain a drop at a time
Oh, yes, sometimes, we're living for all around us

And never has anyone passed the roads we've traveled
And yes, never has anyone tried to force open these doors
And yes, no one has ever told someone they could do it before
God, I pray I can do for them all
Yes, I pray for my family, I can do it all

We're the last dying fate
For our family to take
Yes, I pray I can do it all

These four years have been the longest
I pray sometimes for God to let it end
When the guilt sets in and there's no way I can win
I take my pain a drop at a time
Oh, yes, sometimes, we're living for all around us
